Today Rotary Watches announced the launch of its first App – Aquaspeed Racing: a brand new and unique App taking you to the heart of the action! This fantastic new initiative is designed to celebrate the company’s 115 years as a designated watch manufacturer and commemorate their sponsorship of Shelley Jory-Leigh, British Powerboat Racing Champion.
The Aquaspeed App incorporates an interactive watch design facility alongside a fast-paced powerboat racing game.In powerboat racing time is key; So engage your engine and “Take the lead with Rotary Aquaspeed” and get set for a bumpy ride as you hit the waters! Competitors will need to focus to achieve the best time on the global leaderboard. Competing on the 'Choppy' level with your fastest time to try and win a Rotary Aquaspeed watch. 1 lucky winner will be selected from the top 100 fastest times so be quick to win! At an official launch at Cowes Sailing Week Rotary UK Sales Director of Rotary Watches Tom Tope and British Powerboat Racing Champion Shelley Jory Leigh unveiled the Aquaspeed application to a captive audience of UK Retail Jewellers giving everyone the chance to get to grips with the App and talk to Shelley about her racing experiences. The Group were then take for high speed powerboat racing rides on a selection of RIBs, Shelley's Cougar Powerboat and blasts on Zapcats whilst they enjoyed all the action on the water from the days Racing at Cowes Week.“The Aquaspeed Application’s fantastic and really addictive!” commented Shelley on getting to grips with the app “Since breaking my nose in Sardinia and being under doctors orders to take it easy I have been getting my adrenaline fix at home on the sofa instead of out on the water, I’m constantly trying to improve my time I guess it’s just the Racer in me.”
