Charities

RNLI – Ambassador

We provide, on-call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. With our lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, we are committed to saving lives.

Countess Mountbatten – Ambassador

Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity was established to raise funds for Countess Mountbatten House, a special organisation where people with life-limiting illnesses, both in our Hospice and our community, are cared for by a team that delivers ‘over and above’.

The Hospice serves a community in excess of 720,000 and our catchment spans 460 square miles. Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity raises approximately £1 million each year for Countess Mountbatten House to achieve this.

Hampshire Autistic – Ambassador

Autism Hampshire offers direct services to over 100 adults on the autism spectrum as well as providing community-based support to hundreds more. All our service users are taught and cared for in very homely surroundings by over 200 autism-specific trained staff. Development of our services is a priority as the need for services vastly outweigh those that we are currently able to offer. At this time, it is estimated that more than 18,000 people are affected by autism in Hampshire alone. However, in order to develop our range of services and support, Autism Hampshire greatly depends on donated income.

Wet Wheels – Geoff Holt MBE – Ambassador

Wetwheels is a custom-built, fully-accessible motorboat. Each year, we help hundreds of people of all ages overcome the disadvantages of their disability by enriching their lives. We do this by providing fun and adventurous experiences afloat within a specialist and motivational environment. In so doing, we help to improve aspirations and increase confidence. You don’t just come for a ride on Wetwheels, you become one of the crew.

Honey Pot childrens Charity

Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers, aged 5 – 12 years old. We are the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and on-going outreach support throughout a child’s formative years. Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

The Brains Trust

We’re a UK brain tumour charity, dedicated to helping people affected by a brain tumour. We improve clinical care for brain tumour sufferers and provide coordinated support in their search for treatment. We provide support and advice from the point of diagnosis and beyond.

Wave 105 Cash for Kids

We were so inspired by the overwhelming success of our charity auction in 2009 that we have registered our own charity, Wave 105 Cash for Kids, to continue our support of children in our region into the future.

We are committed to supporting local children under the age of 18, who are financial, socially, emotionally or physically disadvantaged. Additionally to encourage healthy lifestyle options by promoting the physical, mental and general wellbeing of children and adolescents specifically within the Wave 105 region.
